Magic Moves to Brooklyn for the 2009 W-League season.

New York, NY – The New York Magic W-League team will play all home games in Brooklyn, New York during the 2009 W-League season.

The New York Magic W-League soccer team announced that they will move their home field to the Old Boys High School Field in Brooklyn.  This is the first time that the NY Magic will play the schedule of home games in Brooklyn.  Many of the New York Magic Super Y games will also be played at the Old Boys High School new home field.
The New York Magic president, Lyndelle T. Phillips said, “We are excited to introduce the Brooklyn community to an entertaining and extremely competitive level of women’s soccer. When we learned that the Iona College facility in New Rochelle was undergoing renovation we were happy to locate this quality facility in Brooklyn to showcase the W-League soccer competition."
The Old Boys High School Field is located in 736 Rutland Avenue (between Troy & Schenectady Aves), Brooklyn, New York 11203  (The direction will be updated on the website soon…). The venue has grass turf field (75X120) with approximately 2,000-3,000 seats, and convenient parking areas.
