Hudson Valley Stuns Magic!

Saturday, May 23, 2009

Magic entered last night’s match (Saturday, May 23, 2009), against the new franchise Hudson Valley Quicksrike in Newburgh, New York at Newburgh Free Academy as their first "away" game of the 2009 season.    New York entered the match tied for first place with Boston with a record of (1-1-1).

Hudson Valley came out strong and capitalized on Magic’s injury riddled squad scoring the first of six goals in the 12th minute of play.  Hudson Valley continued to take advantage of New York’s absences and injuries as they recorded 4 goals in the first half of play.

New York looks to put the stunning loss behind them as they prepare to take on the Connecticut Passion next Saturday, May 30 at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.   The teams recorded an exciting (3-3) tie in their first meeting at New York on Saturday, May 17.

The Magic looks forward to playing with their full roster when they take on the Connecticut at 2 PM on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Wesleyan University.
