After a scoreless 43 minutes of play, the teams and fans were forced to sit out a rain delay of about 40 minutes because of a passing thunder storm with strong winds.  The rest actually provided a good opportunity for the Magic to regroup and play a more defensive game in the second half.   The Connecticut Passion scored first early in the second half of play after the rain delay.  However, Magic soon countered with a goal by 41 year-old SUPER veteran FW, Noelle Meeke (Ballymena, Ireland).  Noelle scored a beautiful goal with her golden left foot assisted by Magic young center MF, Mikaela Howell (Basing Stoke, England).

Magic missed several other opportunities to score including hitting the cross bar and a goal that was saved on the goaline. The gane ended with a 1-1 tie. (Game Stats).

The NY Magic W-League team will play their next game on Saturday, June 7 against Jersey Sky Blue in NJ at 7:30PM.   Come out and "Catch the Magic"!!
