The New York Magic premier women’s soccer team will play the Home Opening match  on May 10, 2008 against the Connecticut Football Club.   The New York Magic is expanding its reach and anticipates broadening the enthusiasm and interest among the New York, Bronx, Westchester, Rockland and Putnam youth and female soccer community. 

 Who:  The NY Magic is a premier amateur women’s soccer team whose mission is to provide an avenue for the development of women soccer players in a highly competitive environment, and to provide wholesome quality family entertainment while developing the game of soccer in it’s community.   The NY Magic competes in the W-League; a member of United Soccer Leagues (USL); who is affiliated with soccer through the United States Amateur Soccer Association.

The NY Magic’s recent successes include conference quarterfinals 2002 and 2003. Final 4 finalists in 1998, and 1999, and division champions in 1998.

Where:  The NY Magic will play its home opener at Mazzella Field on the campus of Iona College , located at 715 North Avenue in New Rochelle .
